My friend has convinced me to try Star Citizen. My system is a 4790k with a 1080Ti display, 16GB RAM, and a 500GB SSD. Should I upgrade my RAM for smoother performance in Uber settings? I previously skipped Ryzen thinking it was too minimal, but adding 16GB DDR3 seems unnecessary now. I don’t play games at low settings.

There are no Uber preferences and the graphics options aren't very effective. Currently, your FPS depends on the network, so adding more hardware won't help much. Your RAM is around 8 GB, which should be enough if Chrome is closed. The latest version 3.0.1 is extremely difficult to play with, so it's best to wait about four weeks before moving to 3.1.

In 'The Persistent Universe' ('Crusader'), I see the server limits others can reach—typically 40-45 FPS on a full server, but up to offline performance when there’s minimal traffic. In offline modes like a hangar or Arena Commander matches, frame rates sit between 90-110 at 'Very High'. The graphics settings have little impact on visuals or speed. The main adjustments are disabling SSDO and motion blur. My PC is prepared for upcoming updates and releases.
