High performance rating under 2k in Cinebench score for Ryzen 9 5950X
The performance during multicore testing was slow, with temperatures staying low and only a few cores reaching high frequencies at once. At idle, all cores run at 3599Mhz, suggesting better idle efficiency than when running Cinebench. Possible causes could include thermal throttling, driver issues, or background processes affecting performance.
I was testing on multiple cores. If I kept the PC idle while running cinebench, one core would run at 4.8GHz and the others at 0.5GHz, switching which core handled the heavy load. Using other programs like Snipping Tool or anything else from the PC would trigger the cores to activate, boosting cinebench performance. I managed a score of 20k during this process, but only cinebench itself gave a solid result.
There seems to be a problem then. Which version are you testing the CPU with? Perhaps someone has information about an issue with a particular release.
Windows 11 sounds fun, I’ll give it another shot on Windows 10. Just thought of it.
