High-performance processor with excellent heat management.
I upgraded to 5600x from fx6300 to run modern games smoothly. However, I see temperatures rising above 90 degrees. The stock cooler wraith stealth is working, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to adjust the settings or if an aftermarket air cooler would be better. Thanks!

Unfamiliar with 5600X, but 5700G and over 80 were typical for every tough game with the stock cooler. Around 90 was standard for benchmarks like Cinebench. Any good cooler is better than the original.

oh really, i thought that stock wraith cooler is a decent cooler for a freebie one. My previous cooler for my fx6300 is deepcool gammaxx400. Although i donate it already to my cousin in the province. If I am going to buy one, is the NH-L9x65 is a good cooler? Or any other recommendation on around $50, thanks!
Absolutely, the stock hockey puck is pretty bad. Heat pipes would definitely improve things. I didn’t use the original one with my board, but I did try the one with my 3600XT—it was thicker. I was hoping for an AM4 cooler mount, and with the heat rising this summer, it’s hard to keep things cool. I really don’t want the CPU overheating.
