When the PC is idle, temperatures sit between 60°C and 70°C. If the fan gets too hot during gaming—reaching around 95°C for an AMD Ryzen Master setup—it becomes a major issue. I've tried adjusting the voltage and BIOS settings to lower noise, but it's still a problem for my gaming sessions. Recently, during summer months when I don't use the PC much, I noticed the temps rising significantly. Now that I'm back gaming, temperatures are consistently high. For instance, with a GTX 3060ti running a light game, the CPU hits 95°C while using only about 30% of its capacity. Idle temps are around 10°C, but they swing between 60°C and 70°C. I'm worried about running any games now. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm not particularly tech-savvy.
Stock cooler works well with the 3700X fine, I've tested it on a smaller unit from a 2200G model without any problems. I’d consider getting new thermal paste—Noctua NT-H2 is my choice. After cleaning and reapplying, make sure the cooler fits properly; incorrect mounting pressure can hurt performance. Also, verify if your system has PBO enabled, as auto boosting can increase power usage significantly without much gain. I didn’t find it beneficial on my 3700X, so I turned it off.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the feedback. I finally secured the Pure Rock 2 cooler I ordered from Be Quiet. Since my case and fans are from Be Quiet and I prefer a quieter setup, I decided to upgrade. After taking apart the PC, I realized replacing the original cooler without removing the motherboard wasn’t feasible. The new cooler not only kept things much cooler—around 20-30°C in idle—but also had nearly silent fans. It came with fresh thermal paste, and the PC felt much cleaner overall. The main issue seemed to be the old paste plus a subpar cooler.
