Indeed, but here we aim to encourage him to obtain a genuine version rather than the unauthorized file he currently has. Offering assistance with an illegal copy would mean I’d have to halt the conversation instead of supporting his progress.

Hardware problems could be the real cause—check specifications. You can get a Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft and activate it yourself. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10

Checked if I upgraded to Windows 10 within the past 30 days. If so, navigated to the update and recovery area and returned to the earlier operating system.
