High idle temperatures on Ryzen 3700x are common. Check cooling solutions and ensure proper airflow.
Yesterday I uploaded my CPU cooler (Noctua l9a, Noctua paste) and the temperatures were around 45-50°C during idle. Now when I restart my PC, idle temps are consistently 60°C and above. I haven’t adjusted any power settings and the issue has worsened. Anyone have suggestions or solutions? My motherboard is X570, AORUS PRO WIFI with the latest BIOS, and everything else seems up to date. I’ve attached a screenshot of my Ryzen master settings.
Have you noticed any shifts in temperatures when the system was under stress?
It's mainly because of Ryzens' voltage settings. The stock idle voltage is too high, causing significant CPU heating. You should adjust it via BIOS or Ryzen Master. Right now my 3700X runs at 1.175V 4GHz.
