It looks like your setup has a strong preference for high performance, with fans turning on only when temperatures exceed 60°C. Unless you're okay with lower idle temps, this might be the reason you're noticing issues.

Top performance CPU model. Heat warning triggers at 70°C fans at full speed unless motherboard intervenes earlier. Peak operating temperature before throttling reaches 90°C, again unless the board specifies otherwise. This suggests a high temperature difference, possibly due to low fan speed or insufficient radiator capacity. If the pump failed to run, temperatures would be significantly higher. Your readings aren’t unusually elevated. Uncertain if there’s a real problem—your reported max is 65°C, which is acceptable. You may need to tweak your fan curve manually. Also, please share a detailed system specification sheet so others can assist effectively. So far we have a 2700x AIO unit with a 65°C rating.

They usually refer to the overall CPU temperature, which reflects the entire package. The package temperature tends to be higher than the core temperature by a few degrees. For accurate comparisons, it's important to know the reference point being used.

Core temperatures are measured on the die. The package temperature refers to the socket, ambient temperature, often used for fan regulation.

One reading is typical for idle, while another is considered high. For example, my CPU core temperature is around 32°C, but the package temp is 54°C—one is normal and the other is too high. Ryzen Master just mentions the temperature, and it falls roughly in between my monitor reading of 32°C and the package temp of 54°C, which is about 44°C.

AMD's temperatures rely on a specific algorithm. W10 contributes to inaccurate readings as well. (I use both W7 and 10 OS versions) Many displayed temps were updated recently... those values are outdated. Displayed numbers reflect past conditions, not current ones. Running monitoring tools simultaneously can affect measurements. Package temperature, PCB core temperature, and core temp run higher due to heat absorption from eight cores. This is the algorithm that manages CPU and chassis fans.
