While I was enjoying Kerbal Space Program, my GPU remained constantly at full capacity, even during idle moments. This is unusual for a game from ten years ago, especially when flying far from any activity. Could something be causing such high usage?

Achieve full utilization is essential. Running at an endless frame rate can occur if you're far from any constraints. As discussed earlier, even in crowded and intricate environments, the GPU should operate at maximum capacity.
