Make it yourself. Check out some videos. It’s quite simple. You won’t have to rely on liquid metal.

It really depends on the specs; 4.9GHz is sufficient. A 100-200MHz gap won’t stand out much. I understand the feeling, though—psychologically it seems like a big jump, but it’s not that significant. We’re only talking about a few percent improvement at most.

Don't worry, you can find a tool and follow some guides to do it. I watched a tutorial on eBay for just five bucks. I didn’t reattach anything permanently—just used the clamping feature in the board’s locking system. It was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but once it was done, I felt relieved and even laughed about how simple it was.

I didn’t notice much difference between MCE (4.7) and manual 5GHz OC. Stock (4.3) and MCE seemed important.

Yes, it was comparable with my 9600K. The 4.8GHz stable OC was clearly distinct from the 4.3GHz stock all-core, but I largely gave up trying to stabilize a 5GHz one since performance didn’t change noticeably when 5GHz was active.

Yes, 5GHz at 1.25GHz is working but I’m using LLC6 and NonAVX stable. I stopped using it, moved back from LLC6 to LLC5, and now I’m around 1.32GHz at load for 5GHz AVX stable.
