high end pc low fps
Hi there, I'm just starting out in this community, sorry if I messed up. I recently assembled a new PC with a 9700k ASUS Strix OCE EDITION 1080 Ti and don't know whether overclocking the CPU or GPU would be better for gaming. With a 240Hz monitor and running Rainbow Six on native high texture and low/off settings, I get between 230 to 150 FPS. The performance drops noticeably when fast enemies or my shots appear, which is frustrating when it halves in just a second. Could you help me decide if overclocking the CPU or GPU is the right choice? Thanks in advance.
Use MSIAfterburner to track FPS, CPU, and GPU activity. This helps identify whether performance drops are due to the GPU or CPU. Keep monitoring all CPU cores individually, not just total usage. Analyze the data to determine which aspects need optimization through overclocking.
