While attempting to launch World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic, the game would become unresponsive. Further testing with Furmark revealed that the dedicated GPU would stall around 75c. I swapped out the GPU/CPU cooler and applied a new thermal paste (Arctic MX-4). The BIOS version is 1.2.3 (this version is quite outdated, but it didn’t affect performance much). Hardware specs include an Intel Core i7-7500U CPU, an AMD Radeon R7 M445 dedicated GPU (driver labeled as M440), and an Intel HD 620 battery. Audio comes from Realtek ALC3246. Interestingly, I haven’t experienced any freezing issues with the i-GPU, though I’m concerned about reduced performance. I’ve experimented with various BIOS updates, updated GPU drivers, and even reinstalled Windows 10 (including version 11). I turned off Intel TurboBoost in the BIOS as well.
