Core i5 10400F Transcend jm3200hlb-8g CL-22 (8gbx2) Dual Channel @2666Mhz Gigabyte B460 DS3H motherboard GTX 1080 ti FE. While gaming Warzone, FPS drops to the low 80s and stays under 120 FPS at 1080p Low. Graphics performance remains around 60-70% utilization. CPU load sits between 50-60%. I suspect RAM CAS latency is affecting stability. My monitor runs at 165Hz and I want maximum performance. The processor speeds fluctuate significantly during operation.

I'll look into whether any single core is hitting 100% usage or if all are around 50%.

CPU activity remains near 50%. I expected this chip to maximize performance compared to a basic 3-year-old card. What do you think?

Modern systems require more than just overall CPU load. Check thread-level consumption to identify actual bottlenecks, as Warzone typically runs only a few threads. Use Task Manager’s graph, right-click, and choose "Change Graph To" → Logical Processors. Don’t focus on massive memory usage.

He’s running the same chip and graphics card, just with a different amount of RAM. The only change is his 8GBx2 3600Mhz CL16 memory versus mine’s 8GBx2 2666Mhz CL22. He achieves over 150 FPS at 1080p while I usually max out around 100 FPS.

Ryzen CPUs generally prefer quick RAM speeds. For a Ryzen 2700, the optimal range is around 3200 MHz, leaving room for improvement. The interface frequency also plays a role in performance. Your RAM latency is 22 ns while yours is 16 ns, which is a noticeable gap. This could mean the speed difference matters. While it’s not guaranteed you’ll match exact results with identical RAM, memory speed likely influences overall performance. I’m not an expert on Ryzen tuning, but what I’ve gathered from reputable YouTube channels and readings suggests this could be a key factor.

It seems like you're pointing out a potential compatibility issue. The reference to 2666 CL22 suggests a concern about performance or functionality on certain systems. You're recommending checking for a kit that supports 2666 CL15 or better, noting that the B-series chipset and i5 might be limited to 2666.

I used a CL15 kit and got a higher frame rate, though it wasn’t perfect. It seems the game isn’t well optimized, and I’m limited to around 2666Mhz with a B460 chipset.

CAS Latency remains somewhat unclear to me. I haven’t located any gaming benchmarks for a CL22 setup, which suggests it might be significantly affecting performance.

It's unlikely the CPU is the main issue. The setup shows better results than a weaker CPU and GPU. Your current CPU runs about 20-30% slower in single-threaded tasks compared to what it claims, and this drops with multi-threading too. There might be another factor at play, especially if RAM latency hasn't improved much. Have you tried using DDU to clear old graphics drivers or completely reinstalling the system?
