Hey! Right now you're at 1,980 points, with your next one arriving soon. Used to play with 2,980, but I'm curious—can you get 60 FPS on Ultra at 1440p? It seems like the best way is letting GeForce optimize the game, which usually reduces many settings. Any tips or advice?
I'm not an expert but this is what I turn down myself -Hairworks should be off. Really, don't even try, not even "geralt only" hairworks. It kills performance on all cards and looks imho worst. -Grass detail and distance high: not pretty to look at but heavy impact. Still after you stop visiting the Velen area often grass won't be that important anyway -Sharp shadows: This is a personal preference since I don't pay too much atention to shadows so this compromise is ok for me -Population density all the way to medium: Again with a stronger rig and processor you could leave at high but I like to be 55 to 60 even in Novigrad (the most crowded city by far) -AA off: I haven't tried this myself since AA does make a difference at my lower resolution (1080p) but I think it won't be too bad without it at 1440p unless your monitor his bigger than 27 inches. Try those and see if it gets you closer to 60fps at 1440p
You’ll handle it smoothly with your setup. The 980 provides enough performance, and the updated Kepler drivers help keep things stable. At 2560x1440 with anti-aliasing, V-Sync enabled, and frame rate capped at 60 FPS, you can maintain smooth playback. The settings you mentioned work well—keep it steady and enjoy!
