It makes sense why 1440p at 200% works well—it offers great clarity on a larger display without requiring excessive processing power. I see the value in scaling down to 1080p for smaller screens, but 1440p feels like the perfect balance where performance stays smooth and visuals remain sharp.

I haven't experienced a 1440p display myself, but I think it would appear exceptionally sharp.
