he's got a pretty impressive setup—those high-end specs mean quick heating and stable temps. it's odd how fast he gets things going, yet still maintains consistency over time.

I believed the Kraken stands out because of its larger capacity to soak up heat, but it may not be a unique case.

I checked the case and only slightly adjusted the screws on the CPU block. The top two were mostly secure, while the bottom two were a bit loose. I tightened them all, but the right-bottom one still felt bent. After finishing, I powered on the machine, ran a stress test, and watched the temperatures. It started around 55°C with about 33°C outside, then jumped to roughly 81°C quickly under full load, slowly climbing to about 90°C after 15 minutes before stopping at 91.4°C. I kept the CPU running for 25 minutes, and the temperature stayed at 91.4°C for the final five minutes.

Question 1: Based on what you did, it seems the retention issue is resolved. You probably don’t need to reapply thermal paste now.

Question 2: With the CPU handling higher loads, consider enabling full auto boost (CPU vcore max) and setting the Vcore offset to -0.126V. This lets the CPU reach its peak performance safely.

Hey! It's good to hear your temperatures are manageable. To protect your CPU, aim for 91°C and above where it starts to degrade quickly. I recommend building a fan curve that turns fans on at 85°C. You can adjust this in the BIOS or with a dedicated software tool.

Confirmed, avoid keeping CPU at 90°C. Target max around 85°C. Fan curve is already aggressive in BIOS for liquid cooler setup. Moving the rig to an air-conditioned space (typically ~26°C) could help, though it may slightly lower VCore due to reduced voltage. I anticipate some performance drop from the lower voltage, but it might extend CPU lifespan.
