It's typical for your 1700X to have high usage in those games, especially with only one core or thread running at full capacity. Normal CPU usage is usually around 20-30%, so this level is quite high. The setup you mentioned—Vega 64 Liquid, 16GB RAM, and 2133 MHz stock speed—should help manage performance, but keep an eye on temperatures and stability.

Games frequently overlook the potential of multiple cores. That's understandable, though games like Doom should definitely utilize several cores, even if not at full capacity.

Games not well set up, insufficient optimization for extra CPU cores. Your RAM isn’t fast enough for Infinity Fabric—what hardware do you have?

Do you play Doom using Vulkan or OpenGL? Additionally, MaxPayne3 is a previous DX11 game and generally relies on fewer processing units.

That's typical, particularly with a single core. I own a 1700X with 3200MHz RAM (standard clocks at 1700X), and in games usually two cores operate near 80% utilization. If you're mainly using one core, 90-99% is reasonable. I'd consider overclocking the 1700X and using faster RAM to boost performance.

I'm trying to find out what mobile phone model he owns to avoid damaging the B350 or Bad X370 due to incorrect guidance.

he's speaking from the future and reassuring us that AMD remains a solid choice while Intel isn't quite living up to expectations. Even if you're seeing good frame rates, don't stress about heavy usage—most programs still function well with just 2-4 cores. Most likely, things would have changed by now if you were coming from the future.

World of Warcraft is a classic case, as it's an older title. It mostly relies on just one main core.

Sorry for the delayed response, I'm experiencing quite a few problems with my recent build. My PC keeps crashing into BSODs—on screen it looks like a blue screen, but the sound just loops. It seems like AMD GPU Driver might be involved according to a report from WhoCrash. Right now, I have a X370 Gaming with a 5GB memory and a Trident Z 3000 MHz processor, but everything is running at Stock speed. I'm unsure if it's just a driver issue or something more serious with the hardware since it's brand new.
