Hi, I've checked various forums and Reddit threads, but most responses only mention CPU usage being high. While playing Mass Effect Andromeda across different graphics settings (from medium to ultra), my CPU consistently stays at 100% throughout the game. It drops back down once I close the app. The system specs are available in my profile, but I'm using an i5-6500 with a Hyper 212 Evo cooler, a GTX 1060 6GB (overclocked), 16 GB DDR4 RAM, and aiming for 1080p at around 60 FPS on higher settings. Some users reported similar problems despite having more powerful CPUs, so it might not be related to DRM or other game-specific issues. Let me know if you have more details—I'd appreciate any insights!

You're using a Ryzen 1700X and haven't noticed any unusual background activity. The system runs smoothly on a 6700HQ, especially during finals season when usage is low. No strange processes detected.

It's unclear why you're seeing such high usage. Your I5 4460 with 16GB RAM and an XFX Rx 480 appears to be operating efficiently, using only about 65% at high settings while streaming 1080P at 58 FPS.

I don’t need background jobs. I make sure to stop most background processes while playing, and I always keep Steam closed when Origin is running, or the other way around.

It seems the problem isn’t due to outdated hardware. I’m confident I’m using the latest game update. I reinstalled the files onto my hard drive instead of an SSD to conserve space, though this could slow down loading times. I also experienced CPU issues prior to the reinstall.

I also face the same issue with identical specifications. It seems like an Intel i5 6500 CPU problem, as some users have reported it. I discovered a solution that reduces the load to 80-99%. https://forums.
