Hey! Your core voltage looks quite high. I’m not sure how to verify if your CPU is actually operating at that level, but it seems like it might be causing temperature spikes. After updating the BIOS, the reading stayed at 2.041V. In another video (7 minutes in), it appears more accurate—1.449V MB: Crosshair VIII dark hero CPU: 5950X. I’ve taken my BIOS and a snapshot from a short stress test.
Have you experimented with adjusting the CPU voltage manually? A value around 1.449V is far beyond normal operating levels; you can easily run it at or below 1.30V without issues if you're not overclocking. To change the voltage manually, choose "Manual" under "CPU Core Voltage" and input your desired setting. If you're unsure about offset settings, stick to a fixed voltage and test it. Using offset can be risky without understanding it, so it's safer to avoid it unless you're confident. Generally, modern Ryzen processors should handle 1.30V perfectly, and you might even get better performance and lower heat output.
You completely understand everything, but even when I manually adjust the voltage it still reads 2.041V. That made me question whether I was doing it right or if something about my system changed compared to before (like the Asus models).
It seems the voltage sensor on the board or chip is faulty. Try using a different chip to check if the unusual readings disappear.
