Back in January 2015 I received a Far Cry pack and enjoyed playing through FC3. Later I purchased FC4 a few months ago, spending around 35 hours on it before finishing. Now I have some free time and am searching for a similar experience. I don’t really like Just Cause based on what I’ve seen. AAA or indie doesn’t matter to me. Steam is my go-to platform for these reasons.

I suggest Metal Gear Solid, though it isn't in first person. Have you tried any Splinter Cell titles—they're solid.

I’m examining those I used to play on the N64, recalling a Splinter Cell from that era, though it’s long since faded from my mind. According to what I’ve heard, the MGS titles contain extensive connections that would be lost if I skipped directly to MGS5.

Dying Light shares similarities with Far Cry, yet it doesn't focus on stealth gameplay.

Play the toughest setting in Metro 2033, Last Light, or even Splinter Cell—just crank it up and enjoy!

You only have to understand the basics if you enjoy the tale, and there’s plenty more out there.
