Hi, I need assistance installing Kali Linux QAQ.
I've been up for about 24 hours now trying to get this install to work but its just not working, I've google searched almost every link on this topic and tried a lot of shit but nothing! Here are my pc specs (or at least what's needed to know for the problem) Nivida gtx 970 (GPU) 8 gb ram MSI 970 gaming (motherboard) amd fx 4130(or something in the 4000s but i doubt it has anything to do with the problem) EDIT: I forgot I upgraded it recently, its actually a 8350 Ok so here is the problem! I have kali linux successfully installed! Wow great but WAIT, this day just gets even better! After successfully installing it I can't boot it up. Well it does boot up but it goes immedently into black screen apon showing me text of the boot. Apparently I've identified the problem. ether 1 of 2 kali linux hates my graphics card and is giving it the middle finger every time it boots up or 2 of 2 its not detecting my monitor. I personally think its 2 of 2 but thats my personal opinion! I need any suggestions! I'm so desperate Ill try anything at this point. I will not sleep until its solved! Thanks for reading and please leave suggestions thanks!
Start the installation by booting it up. Use Ctrl+Alt-F1 or Ctrl+Alt-F2 to log in as the root user. Set up the special Nvidia drivers for your hardware. Restart the system. Avoid installing Kali; just run it from a live CD. There are many valid reasons not to do this, you can find more info online.
You followed the steps carefully but encountered an issue during the boot process. First, you installed the disk in tray 2 and restarted the computer. Then you tried to access the boot menu using Ctrl+Alt+F1 to F2, but it didn’t work. After that, you attempted to boot normally, but nothing appeared on screen. It seems the problem might have occurred when you stepped back into the boot menu after trying the F keys. Double-check your installation and ensure all components are properly seated.
The live CD isn't starting? Make sure your file matches. Search for "checksum kali iso" online.
If I had deeper understanding of these systems, I’d be able to handle it. Right now I’m studying for exams that need Kali Linux, so if you’re okay with it, I’d appreciate the help fixing this.
It seems the instructions are unclear. Could you clarify what you mean by "Intel-based PC's"?
in a realm where practical skills are left behind, seeking Kali for lessons that skip the basics feels like chasing shadows. the motivation likely stems from a desire to grasp foundational concepts before diving into advanced topics.
