I checked the monitor's performance often and noticed it was only detecting three cores. Then I opened Task Manager and saw it had six cores available. What’s going on?

Have you considered using HWInfo64? The HW Monitor appears to be less dependable.

Get CPU-Z from the link provided. Save the file as a Zip. Unzip it and launch "cpuz_x64.exe". Check the highlighted section for core and thread details.
