Ok, hopefully someone else can fix this soon but my friend got a new PC about an hour ago. I don't know all the specs yet, but it's the starter pro from NZXT and the computer works fine when he is alone. However, recently for the first time, he has been playing with friends (3 of us total including him). When we try to join and play together, everything seems fine until about 2 minutes into the game. Then the connection breaks and nobody can help it even if someone else takes over as host or anything like that; we tried all sorts of things at first. Back when playing on bo3 (we were playing a modded zombie game), he couldn't join at all because his NAT setting was set to strict instead of moderate or open, and the game says "cannot join" due to NAT type. Even though we tried joining him again and the party was just unavailable, eventually with some help I got from my side, I fixed that NAT issue so now we can join each other without any failed attempts. But he still gets kicked out shortly after we start playing. We have tried different things: 1) resetting internet and router 2) disabling IPv6 (because that was the only option in control panel where it said no network access), 3) pretty sure we tried anything in command prompt, even trying to reset IPv6 unless we forgot to do it right this time, and 4) tried updating the LAN driver from the motherboard website (ASUS) but I don't think he got a driver for Windows 11 because he said that file wasn't compatible with his operating system. So now we are stuck again and he left for dinner; he will be back in about an hour so I hope someone can fix this before then if possible, thanks for any help you can give me!

Check Reliability History or Event Viewer to see what error, warning, or info is happening when your connection stops working. If you just use Reliability History it's easier for beginners than Event Viewer which takes longer to find and understand. You can get more info from the Modem or Router maker about your specific model by looking at their website. Sometimes checking the router's logs might help too, but only if they are turned on. Don't forget to check that only one network card (wired or wireless) is active on your PC. If you need more details, run this command in Command Prompt: ipconfig /all. Then copy and paste those results so I can see them without asking you to type everything again.

To start, take pictures of your computer's screen showing lots of mistakes happen at once. Post these pictures here on imgur (www.imgur.com). First, turn off all games software to see if your connection works again. You might also need to delete other games and apps that help them work. Make sure you saved important files to two different places and checked they can still be opened. For the "ipconfig /all" results, I would remove the network driver programs and start over with them on the right settings for your computer's internet. Only let one network card turn on at a time too. Also run "sfc /scannow" and "dism" to fix broken or bad system files. See this link about how to use those commands: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-use-sfc-...es-2626161 And here is how to run the DISM tool to fix your Windows 10 picture | Windows Central Just for checking things one by one. The goal is to get a stable (no errors or problems) computer with good internet and network connection, then deal with the gaming apps later.

I think I got this right but the guy doesn't know how to get drivers from a legit place. He mentioned on some tool that there are tons of updates, like between fifteen and thirty.

We tested him in lots of different games, yet something really weird happened. We usually chat on Discord together, but he never lags there or from anywhere else except when we play games. We tried ROBLOX too, and he lagged out there just like that. Even though the golf maps were small, if a course got bigger with more stuff in it, his connection would drop. Honestly, I am completely confused right now. ALSO, his IPv6 used to say "Internet," but before that it said "No Network Access." At first, I thought that was the problem. But when we moved his router into the room and plugged him straight into it with ethernet, the issue went away, even though he had been using cable (ethernet) before.

The game launcher won't start. I don't know what happened first, but it seems to have messed up earlier than the Xbox errors. Instead of taking pictures with your camera, take a screen capture or print out the images. Then send those photos to imgur. Make sure you expand the Reliability History so everyone can see all the things that happened before. It's also important to know about the Informational events. Finally, add a screenshot of "Review problem reports."

Oh wow, sorry to hear that you didn't get a reply. But at least he finally found someone else who gave him what he needed and is now using a new one. It's sad though, huh?

IPv6 is not turned off by default. But if you can, turning it off on your router is best because it saves space and makes things work better for everyone. If that's not an option, turn it off on the network card instead: https://networking.grok.lsu.edu/Article....leid=17573
