I'm trying to figure this out. My router is far away, and the Wi-Fi is getting weak now. I need to connect an Ethernet cable from the router to my PC. Do I just need a regular Ethernet cable? Thanks!

Connect the cable, and consider a Wi-Fi range extender for £30

Ethernet cables have a maximum length without an active repeater, typically around 100 meters. Simply use a long cable, plug it into the router and your computer. For purchase, choose at least CAT5e (supporting 1 gigabit speeds). Alternatives include WiFi range extenders or using PLC to repurpose your electrical wires as Ethernet connections.

Choose a Cat5e or Cat6 cable for better performance. These standards support high bandwidth well. Keep the cable near the wall edge for a clean look. Calculate the required length accordingly.

It doesn't matter if I use a Cat 6 flat cable—it won't stand out much and it should pass through the doors smoothly.

Flat cables work perfectly. Cat6 remains Cat6 no matter the design, provided it meets requirements.

Appears fine, uncertain about cost since the listing indicates it's not available.

This link appears to point to a product page for an Ethernet cable. It seems suitable for gaming and streaming if the device supports the required speed.

I won't click that link since it doesn't alter what I mentioned before. Is it Cat5e? Cat6? The type isn't important.
