Threres apparently a WINRAR Bug... If you put the file in to an archive and then open it from there... then there will be no Administartor information (or however its called) and you will open the file directly with no veryfication! This happend to me ^^ Now a russian dude stole me CS:GO items that are worth arround 50 Euros Shit but i dont care! (well i lost 50 Euros) Because i allready Fromatted my SSD and Installed Windows again so everything should be save again :3 (+ All Passwords are now changed)

Their goal is to execute code the developer wrote. For files other than executables and batch files, the virus would need to exploit the program you use, which isn't typical with auto-updating software.

Additionally, a JPEG file can become infected. But for the virus to activate, the file needs to be run. Since JPEGs are images, they won’t be processed unless another program opens them. Therefore, if a program like a library or database runs the image, infection is possible.
