Hello. My motherboard doesn’t respond when I connect it, but using the 24-pin connector with a paper clip in the green slot and a black wire gets everything working. I have a Yagey PSU with 850 watts and an MSI B660-A DDR4 board.

It seems the issue is straightforward. Begin with basic checks—remove all connections and reinsert them, ensuring everything is correctly positioned. Updated note: Verified your motherboard online. You appear to have only a single 4-pin CPU power port, while the board provides one 8-pin and one 4-pin. Typically, the second port is not essential, but confirm you have at least the 8-pin connected. Besides that, if it's a 40-series graphics card, 850W may fall short for your system.

So the problem isn't fully resolved. Half of the CPU cable is exposed, with part of it in BC and I'm using a 12-pin CPU. I've already checked for issues before, but it's still happening.

I hope it isn't a fire risk kind of cheap PSU. By this stage, I suggest taking everything apart, reassembling it onto the motherboard case (as a test bench), and checking functionality there.

It wasn’t particularly affordable—it was discounted around $90, costing roughly $85 in gold, and normally it would be about $120. Thanks for letting me begin the disassembly now.

Consider installing the CPU cooler, then take out one RAM stick and test functionality. If problems persist, reset the CMOS. What model CPU do you have? This might relate to BIOS compatibility.

None of this matters. Local shops usually add extra costs to parts, and the 80+ setup is quite problematic.

This model functions properly now; however, there are no screens available. It’s the first time someone has turned it on, so instructions were provided for clarity.
