Minecraft by default uses 2GB of RAM. You can adjust this in the settings under Advanced options, where you’ll find something like xm2gb—change it and see what happens.

I've already discussed that approach in the original message. I mentioned earlier that I experimented with various allocation sizes without any noticeable results.

Copy the graphics preferences from the search bar into Windows. Choose the Classic app, then navigate to the Minecraft executable and add it. Adjust the settings for your specific GPU, and launch the game to test.

Thank you for your feedback. I attempted it before too, but there was no change.

It seems your graphics card could be handling heavy tasks, or there might be an issue. Have you installed Java, which could assist with troubleshooting?

Java is set up for 64-bit architecture. It seems the issue isn’t related to performance. The device functions well in all other areas, which suggests the problem lies elsewhere.

I achieve more than 100 fps on 1080p without any modifications using Minecraft with a 1060. At 384 drivers, it should be a bit higher, since a 2060 runs as ray tracing at 1060 fps.

Other titles might experience similar problems. The game uses around 8GB of RAM, and your Linux system shows about 1.7GB idle. Your Windows setup could have a higher idle usage.

I noticed that too. The main reason seems to be the high amount of RAM being used. No other games have this problem. It appears to be related to the game itself. I understand that on Windows, MC uses a bit more RAM, but it's not excessive. My girlfriend plays on a laptop with 4G and never exceeds 2G usage. What might be causing this?
