I recently installed a new computer and it’s functioning well for most tasks except Minecraft. It should operate smoothly but is experiencing issues. Typically it reaches at least 120+ FPS, yet it often drops to around 55 or lower. This wouldn’t be an issue unless I run even the simplest resource pack, which severely impacts performance. I’m aware that an RTX 2060 Super shouldn’t face such problems. It’s frustrating. Thanks for your assistance. If you have more details, let me know. I also checked HWInfo during gameplay and can share the log if needed. Specs: Ryzen 7 2700X RTX 2060 Super 16GB DDR4. Things I’ve tried: Using different MC versions (Stable/Unstable), ensuring it uses my card, adjusting RAM settings (2G, 4G, 6G), no noticeable difference. Used Nvidia control panel to set JAVA for the 2060, increased CPU priority, rolled back drivers, performed a fresh Windows install, and ensured x64 Java is enabled. It's not particularly strong, just a solid mid-range performance. Run HWiNFO64 in the background to see what's happening.

Thank you for your feedback on my machine's performance. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention. I'm glad I could help identify the issue. I'll make sure to update right away. My initial assessment used MSI Afterburner to monitor temperatures and usage, and everything seemed normal—temps were within spec, RAM, GPU, and CPU usage were typical. (Note) I also ran HWinfo while gaming; personally, I didn't notice anything unusual, though I'm not an expert. If you'd like the log file, here it is. Thanks for sharing HWResultsMC.CSV.

I gave it a shot and there was no change. All my drivers were current. I also attempted to roll them back several times to observe the outcome, but nothing happened.

Could be a RAM issue.

The issue seems to stem from insufficient allocation, possibly due to trying different amounts without any change, or it might be related to a hardware problem.
