Hey there, fix the boys!
Hey there, fix the boys!
Has been observed and frequently discussed in the Star Trek Online Bug forums. If you attempt to play the game—especially with the latest expansions like Delta Rising—using a Nvidia graphics card that supports drivers older than 320.18, or an AMD card with drivers newer than 13.4—you’re likely to encounter crashes or freezes, accompanied by Exception Code 0xc0000374 in the Event Viewer (usually on Windows). This could indicate issues for users running certain Nvidia models, such as the 700-series cards (GTX 760 or 780), which still require drivers newer than 320.18 and may trigger crashes when launching STO. For AMD users, if your card cannot be upgraded to 13.4 drivers or older, you’re in trouble as well. Radeon HD 6800-series cards work fine, but anything beyond that is either a lucky shot or a serious problem depending on your setup. If you’re using Intel HD Graphics in CPUs from Sandy/Ivy Bridge or newer, playing the game becomes risky unless you have a compatible add-in GPU that supports 320.18 Nvidia or 13.4 AMD drivers. Personally, my systems—ranging from a high-end Beast rig to a basic laptop and a gaming rig—can only reliably run STO after upgrading to Win7Pro and using the correct drivers.
