What impacts the overall performance? It seems to be related to the price, though saying it affects only gamers isn't accurate.

Yes, adding 50MHz extra at a lower voltage by about 0.05V shifts the Gaussian curve slightly leftward along the X-axis, representing the needed voltage for that frequency. Most values around 14,900k are faster than 13,900k—roughly 60% of them. That means about half of them run faster, around 50MHz at a 0.05V reduction. Increasing power on the 13,900k can also bring it up to match the higher end.

That’s a fair assessment. In comparison, these units don’t perform well on desktops. They consistently lag behind, even when measured against your own link, by processors that are 1-2 years out of date. Their capabilities hit the mid-high range, which is great for some tasks but not ideal for demanding workstations.

I'm talking about stock trends—just a small detail at the moment. We shouldn't become overly focused on such minor matters.

It's more than just the cost. The overall gaming experience in most games is on par with Raptor Lake, yet it tends to be quite uneven. Some popular titles like Cyberpunk and CS2 show noticeable drops in performance. In those games, 245K can struggle against both 12400 and 5600X versions. That's concerning. While you might claim it still offers usable performance, especially without pairing it with a 5090, the fact that it falls short of top-tier titles in major releases isn't ideal.

Looking for AMD options that offer good balance between gaming and productivity, similar to Intel's 265 but not K, within a comparable price range?

Intel understands this well. It's satisfying to witness their consequences. While I dislike AMD following Intel's path, I expect more major slowdowns in CPU advancements. Still, I agree with Tan—higher resolution doesn't change the outcome.

Intel continues to conceal bLLC within its design. A similar feature to AMD’s 3D V-Cache is expected soon. To stay competitive, I hope Intel remains strong.

No AMD model matches Intel 265 non K for productivity well balance.
