I got Skype from my computer. Then I clicked "No account, Create one!" It opened this window that said "Let's get started" (Create or Sign in). There was a big red banner saying Unable to sign in. Please check your internet connection and try again. But there is nothing wrong with my internet. I just downloaded the EXE file. I even tried Zoom. That also didn't work well. I clicked on the blue sign up button, but it turned grey for a few seconds and came back to blue. Nothing happens here either.

It sounds like your computer has parental control or antivirus blocking apps. This often happens on Windows and stops you from installing things like Skype, Discord, Zoom, or other programs. Try turning off the antivirus software. If you are using one, turn it off too.

Skype needs Microsoft accounts so you can sign up with a web browser and then log in to Skype with the same account.
