Hey friends, i’m trying to overclock my xeon 3460 but I’m not sure how to do it. I only trust this website for hardware advice—it really helped me a lot. How can I do it? And is it worth the effort? If anyone has helped me before, it would mean a lot. Hope it’s not too risky if I try to overclock my cpu.

These aren't the easiest CPUs to overclock. There are two options available. One involves an unlocked motherboard that supports overclocking, and another is a simpler method using a different CPU. The choice between them likely depends on your current memory capacity.

What do you aim to achieve by increasing clock speeds?
Improving game performance?
Speeding up applications?
Or simply exploring the possibilities of overclocking?

In games, I prefer a higher FPS but not excessively high, aiming for a few.
