I just bought an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-46-R0EQ Gaming Laptop. It has an AMD R7 6800H processor and an NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti card. The problem is that my external monitor doesn't show up in either the AMD or NVIDIA software, so I can't use FreeSync or Adaptive Sync/VRR when I plug in a HDMI cable (both my screen and GPU support it). This only happens if my HDMI switch is turned on. When I turn off the switch, both AMD and NVIDIA see the monitor and let me enable FreeSync and VRR. My graphics card has an HDMI port, but my integrated graphics use USB. I would prefer to get FreeSync or VRR working with my HDMI switch on for better performance and to help cool down because of my high CPU temps under load. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I'm completely stuck. Sorry about the bad grammar; my monitor is a Dell G2724D

Welcome everyone here! I'd check if there are any BIOS updates waiting on this laptop. Next, run DDU to take out all your old GPU drivers from the system. Then, manually install the newest NVIDIA drivers by right-clicking the installer and choosing Run as Administrator. After that, do exactly the same steps for the AMD driver.
