I resolved the issue by implementing a daisy chain for the graphics card, requiring two separate cables.

You tried connecting one cable from the PSU to the GPU, which won't work. You should use two separate cables from the PSU to the card. If you feel a click from the PSU, a protection mechanism is activating. Edit: OP caught you early.
