Hey, I can't get in to my home computer's internet right now?
hi. i own a dlink 2750u router as my modem and router combo. this thing can also run a server for printing. when i plug a usb printer in, the modem tool shows an ip dedicated just for that printer. it looks like this: 192.168.1.1 / printers / cannon-6030. under the print section, i add the printer by tcp and everything works fine with me. BUT here is my problem: only on one of my computers (pc 1), i cannot connect to this IP address. I can add it as a printer there but it does not work for printing too. if i copy paste that ip in my browser, the server shows an error like "server busy" or "connection reset." however, when i use my other PCs or laptops (pc 2-4), everything works perfectly and they print just fine.
what have i tried: resetting the modem with a pin code and reconfiguring it again. reinstalling windows 10 then re-installing windows 11. downloading different driver versions for the printer. turning off my Windows firewall. also, this PC is brand new!
Which specific printer model are you talking about? Do you have a User Guide or Manual for it? = = = = Reference from your post: " 192.168.1.1/printers/cannon-6030 " Is there a typo here between "Canon" and "Cannon"? It's just a common mix-up on one computer. On any of the computers that can print to this Canon printer, shared through the DLink 2750 (IP = 192.168.1.1 - is that right?), go into Device Manager. Make sure "Show hidden devices" is checked in the View Tab. Look at how the printer is set up on that computer. Then do the same thing with your computer that can't print. Compare both setups. The main point here is to spot some difference between them so you know why one PC works and another doesn't.
It seems I made a mistake. My Canon LBP 6030 has no WiFi, but the address is right. The modem's IP is 192.168.1.1... I can connect to that with PC1 and fix things there. But I cannot reach another full IP for the printer. Edit: I am on that page you mentioned to show hidden ones. There are four tabs, and the first one says General, where it says On USB printing support... I guess this is from when I connected my printer directly to my laptop with a USB cable. Unfortunately, I can't find any other printers here either.
hi, here is the result for my wireless LAN adapter: Connection-specific DNS Suffix is empty. Description shows Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 running at 160MHz and has a physical address starting with D.... DHCP says it is enabled. Autoconfiguration also turns on. IPv6 gives me an address like fd70::6c73:7ff4:18ef:5349 (my preferred one), and another link-local one like fe70::a9c4:74c4:370:4194%. There is also a regular IPv4 address of 192.168.1.33 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, and the lease was obtained recently on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 2:22:15 AM but will expire by 2:22:15 PM that same day. My default gateway is fe80::aa63:7dff:fec6:ec60%21 and my DHCP server IP is 192.168.1.1. I have a specific DHCPv6 ID of 368615060 for the client, but a DUID of 00-01-00-01-2B-6D-5A-B5-A0-36-BC-AA-13-90. My DNS servers are both listed as 192.168.1.1, and NetBIOS over Tcpip is enabled.
To make it easier, I suggest turning off IPv6 on your computer. That likely won't fix much, but hey, who knows what could be wrong?
