I’m considering this motherboard option, though it’s not final yet. I’d prefer to stay under $300 AUD ($236 USD) unless absolutely necessary. Amazon is appealing because of the free shipping with Prime. As a beginner, I definitely need a board that works with this CPU—I’m sure it does since it’s AM4.

500 boards should suffice, but it mainly depends on the BIOS version. Not every board gets updated to the latest release, so it's unclear if it functions with all BIOS versions. Although it claims compatibility with both, I’d be cautious. (570 boards cost more than 550, and I’m not sure about the differences in support)

It mainly depends on your requirements from the board. A few may require an X570 chipset, but I’m using a 3700X on a B450 and it’s working fine without any problems.

Consider the x570 TUF Gaming Pro for its solid upgrade potential and performance beyond the 3700x benchmark. If aesthetics matter less, the B550 F Strix offers a more affordable alternative.

Some solid choices like B550-F and B550-A-PRO are affordable, while the X570 doesn’t seem to offer much value.

Check if your focus is solely on the game or if you also plan to create content alongside it.
