Hey everyone, I might have damaged my monitor. Need some assistance.
Hello everyone, I just finished cleaning my brand new monitor in just a couple of days. I used a special glass cleaner that says it contains alcohol, but right after turning it on I noticed some problems—spots all over the screen and even a few areas that look like water dripping. This is the first time this has happened to me. My monitor is a USB-C LED IPS Dell 27'' QHD with 75Hz, and it seems to be a S2722DC model. P.S., I’ve already filed a return because the screen had a crack on the corner when it arrived.
There could be glass on the display, but the outer layer is likely plastic. Alcohol might permanently harm plastic. For a broken screen, they might suspect issues from using the wrong cleaning product. I've found good results with WHOOSH! https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0874X5...=UTF8&th=1
It seems like you're questioning the effort put into the display. How much work did you invest in it?
Well, I kinda put plenty of it on the screen because I have the talent for cleaning a screen/window and ending up with it dirtier than in the beginning, however since it is a new product it should have not been a problem because it SHOUlD have a good adhesive solution holding the screen, also I noticed a design flow , between the screen and the frame itself is left like a channel, where a lot of dirt can and will accumulate
I gently pressed on those areas and toggled the screen on and off multiple times. It seemed to improve things, I hope it turns out just like before. Before and after comparison.
