I own an HP computer and I want to ask some questions on their forums. But I need to sign up first, so I can't just come in here without signing up for something. I don't like that kind of website because it's useless later in life anyway. So I'm using a temporary email address instead, but signing up there needs my phone number. Lots of sites offer free numbers, and I need to know which one is the safest, most popular, and best choice?

Just give me a fake number, or am I insisting on calling you? (So they invade your privacy?) BTW, I bought a "burner" just for these annoying websites that are now asking to verify my phone with me. Yeah, right. They are verifying that I don't care about privacy. Funny, when I turn the phone on, there are hundreds of missed calls even though I only gave that number to insistent websites that were "concerned about my privacy". Yeah, I'm sure if I took a microscope and got a law degree, their EULA would say something different.
