I made a computer that has never had any problems but recently two things broke: the Ethernet port and the WiFi. The lights turned orange or red on the network side, and the internet stopped working too. I bought a new network card called a NICGIGA 2.5G Base-T PCIe Network Adapter with Realtek RTL8125B. When I plugged it in, my computer gave me error codes like 10 and sometimes 12. All the lights stayed green, but Windows said the adapter was disabled and wouldn't let me turn it on. After installing it, the WiFi worked again, but if I remove the card, the WiFi went back to not working. When I tried different ports or even the big graphics card slot, it didn't light up in some places and my built-in graphics stopped working too. This made me think about throwing out the motherboard altogether because of all these problems. My computer is running on a 5600g MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI board with Corsair Vengeance RAM, 32GB space for data, a Seagate hard drive, and Windows 11. I'm planning to buy another adapter instead and send this one back so it doesn't have the same issues again.

So, did you turn off the built-in network card in your BIOS settings under Advanced > Integrated Peripherals? You can click "Onboard LAN Controller [Enabled]" to switch it from on to disabled.

Type this command in your Command Prompt: ipconfig /all (make sure you don't wrap it in quotes). Then, send me all the results here so I can read them for you. You will be able to copy and paste these answers without typing anything back from scratch.

Here is your IP address check: The computer name is Charles. The DNS domain is Node Type Hybrid. Routing and WINS are off for now, but the DNS search list isn't set up either. My local area connection is currently disconnected. I have a Kaspersky VPN installed here. DHCP works, but Autoconfiguration is turned off.

I also see two virtual Wi-Fi adapters:
- The first one (Virtual Adapter #3) has a physical address of 2C-DB-07-97-92-E5 and DHCP is on with autoconfig enabled.
- The second one (Virtual Adapter #4) has a physical address of 2E-DB-07-97-92-E4 and also has both DHCP and autoconfig turned on.

My main Wi-Fi card, which uses Intel's Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 chipset, shows this physical address: 2C-DB-07-97-92-E4. Both of these cards have their DHCP and autoconfiguration features enabled as well.

Regarding my IPv6 settings, here are the addresses I'm using:
- Preferred address for IPv6: 2a02:c7c:3303:3400:48cf:b13a:ee8:8d50
- Temporary IPv6 address: fd19:7ee8:9d01:0:ae0d:5d3b:f128:3618
- Preferred temporary IPv6 address: 2a02:c7c:3303:3400:3482:f2bd:72d2:6abf
- Another temporary address (marked as deprecated): fd19:7ee8:9d01:0:e8cc:912f:b5b5:6a71

For link-local IPv6, here is the preferred one: fe80::76c4:6546:ee39:ecb5%12.

My regular IPv4 address is 192.168.0.40 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, and my lease started on November 23, 2022 at 05:24:37 AM and expires the next day at the same time.

I also have access to a default gateway at fe80::681:9bff:fe37:b6d9%12, which is connected through my DHCP server at 192.168.0.1. My DHCPv6 details include an IAID of 338483975 and a client DUID starting with 00-01-00-01...

I am using DNS servers at 192.168.0.1, specifically the NetBIOS over Tcpip server, which is enabled for my network connection.

Firstly turn off network settings on your Wi-Fi card so Windows can't see your Ethernet stick. If you still see the adapter, just delete it in Windows and then start over.

This machine isn't getting enough space. You have to turn off another device so this one works again.

Turn on IPv4 and turn off IPv6. Then try restarting your computer. If that doesn't help, use the built-in Windows fix steps by holding "Win" and "I," go to "Update & Security," and choose "Troubleshoot."
