I prefer keeping the original discussion open instead of taking over it. I have CUDA installed. When I switch the encoder to HEVC in OBS Studio, it displays a warning when I click Start Recording/Streaming. vdpauinfo indicates HEVC isn't supported. Initially I assumed my 980 Ti model lacks HEVC support, but it functions properly on Windows.
Consider using the flatpak edition of OBS, which is officially backed by the team. Apart from that, I doubt I can assist further. I haven’t relied on an Arch-based system for a while, and I rarely use OBS. If it doesn’t function after trying the flatpak version, feel free to check the OBS forum or the Manjaro community. Thanks.
