OH!!! You're asking about a display port and a DP hub. Do you have one? A single DP can power several devices, so if you have it, connect your gadgets to it. It's not ideal or cheap, but on a laptop it's hard to do much else. Could you share the exact model number? Thanks!

You can disconnect the DP out from your laptop and still use it with the Dell Up3017.

I checked the specific monitor you mentioned, and it should function properly. If it can power a monitor, it should also handle a VR headset, as the Vive doesn’t require any unique protocol. As long as the headset fits in, it should work—even with an adapter if needed. Thanks!

Could you link that to the display showing the DP on your screen while using MST?

Sure, feel free to attempt it. Do you have more than one display port available?

Here’s a revised version of your text:

The working I/O RJ45 Gigabit is functional, though it isn’t suitable for display purposes. The mDP is currently used by the monitor. USB 3.0 (three times) and USB 3.1 Gen 2 are not being used for Thunderbolt audio output via SD card. On my monitor, a DP port is available because it can be used for daisy chaining.
