Hello everyone, here’s what I’ve been doing: I took out the side panel and attempted to remove the SSD from the M.2 slot since the board only accepts one M.2 slot. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the correct screwdriver for that specific screw, so I left it in place and removed the GPU. After cleaning, I put it back. I didn’t detach any cables besides the PCIe power connector, connected the power cable, and turned it on—still nothing.
For context, here’s what I’m experiencing: https://youtu.be/MiUaPt-2504 RGB lights on the motherboard remain functional once the PSU is powered up, and the green CPU_Ready light is also working. There are no error codes displayed on the motherboard, suggesting it isn’t a BIOS issue.
I’ve tried several things:
1. Left only the 24pin+8pin connector from the PSU to the motherboard.
2. Updated the BIOS to the latest version and tested older ones.
3. Disconnected the water cooling and switched to an air cooler.
4. Used a different PSU (Corsair VS550).
5. Removed the motherboard and PSU, placed everything on cardboard to check for grounding problems.
6. Applied some YouTube tips—like using a hairdryer to heat the motherboard while trying to boot after powering up the PSU.
Nothing has worked yet. It seems unrelated to BIOS, as there are no error messages and the CPU is ready. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Are you pressing the start button to begin? If yes, perhaps use a screwdriver to gently move the pins instead. Your case's power switch might be damaged or misplaced at first.
I pressed the red safety reset button but it didn’t help. I also tried the start button on the motherboard and rearranged the pins so the front connector fits, but nothing worked.
A graphics card must be linked. Your system lacks built-in video support.
Noted for those who faced comparable problems with matching setups: I realized I had an extra connection from my GPU (GTX 1080 SC) to the power supply. My PC uses a custom cable extension for the GPU, featuring one 8-pin connector and a split into 8-pin and 4-pin versions. Using both versions caused identical issues. Just remove the 4-pin plug if that’s what led to the same mistake.
