You're facing an issue where the Q code appears as 8 instead of 08 on your motherboard, and it doesn't appear anywhere in the PCIe slots. You've checked all components on your previous board and everything worked fine. Your current setup includes a Ryzen 7 2700X, an RX 580 graphics card, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance LX memory, a stock cooler, and a 750W Corsair power supply. You've tried flashing the BIOS but encountered a flashback error after about 5 seconds, and you've formatted the USB drive to FAT32 with the BIOS file renamed. You've also experimented with different RAM configurations and slots, but the Q code and CPU indicator remain inactive. There seems to be no way to resolve this issue, especially since the board is a refurbished model from Amazon that has already been through the RMA process.
It didn’t function properly at first until I refreshed the bios. It operated for a few days with the updated bios, but then I encountered the q code error.
I haven't seen a speaker on the board, and it didn<|pad|> to say. The GPU fans also didn’t kick in as they normally do when starting up.
The original motherboard disk includes a BIOS recovery feature. Disconnect your drives and rely solely on the DVD reader. If the board is functioning properly, it will transfer data directly from the disk. You can then restore the BIOS using the original unit that came with the board. A positive aspect of your configuration is that the 2700x model is compatible with the 0509 chip, which is likely present on that disk. This appears to be the sole alternative method I’m aware of for BIOS recovery besides flashback.
