It will work. The slot nearer the processor (your 4.0 x16 slot) offers the quicker performance.

The top position is the sole x16 slot connected directly to the CPU. The lower position is just an x4 slot that connects to the chipset. How might RAM affect this? It's hard to picture unless your RAM has a big decorative cover and the maker ignored compatibility with other systems.

Even though 4.0 x4 isn't the best option, it would still provide a decent speed for practical use. It's advised to opt for the x16 port instead.

The concern was about the fan on the bottom right being integrated into Mobo, which worried me during setup. A friend suggested moving it to the bottom PCIe slot. I didn’t think much of it until cleaning my PC, when I realized the issue might not be the RAM but the fan placement. The fan should work if the GPU isn’t blocking it.

The video card fits properly into the slot. It can rest against the heatsink of the chipset, which is acceptable, but it shouldn't touch the fan blades. The other PCI-E X16 connection links to the chipset and operates at PCI-E X4, while the chipset connects to the CPU with about 8 GB/s (either PCI-E 4.0 X4 or PCI-E 3.0 X8), which may limit performance for the video card.
