I recently purchased some components for an old machine. It had been working for about six months before I turned it on again to verify if the power supply still functioned, and it did. My friend required a PSU, so I ordered one. Once the PSU arrived, I put everything together, powered it up, and the system failed to start or wake up the monitor. All fans spun up—case, CPU, GPU, PSU—but after a couple of seconds it shut down and restarted without any warning about what was wrong. The motherboard lights lit up in this order: D4 RED, D3 ORANGE, D2 GREEN, D1 GREEN. I've already tried several fixes: reseating RAM, using different slots, cleaning pins with alcohol, checking PSU voltage, removing/replacing the CMOS battery, and even trying to boot into secondary BIOS by shorting pins. I checked cables and replugged them. The specs are a third-generation I3 (exact model not remembered), GTX 770 Windforce OC, 2GB Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 motherboard, a single DDR3 1333MHz 8GB RAM stick without labels, and a Chieftec IARENA 600W PSU—the same as the one in the system before. Any suggestions?

I resolved it—it was a case-mobo issue since one of the standoffs wasn't correctly positioned.
