I want to try overclocking my PNY Anarchy DDR4 RAM that runs at 2133 MHz. I already have XMP mode turned on, which lets it go up to 2400 MHz. Can I push this further or is that the highest speed? Newbie asking for advice please. My computer has a Z170 motherboard with an i7-6700k processor and a GeForce GTX 2080ti graphics card, plus four sticks of memory at 2400 MHz.

You probably can't boost the speed without raising the voltage, and having four RAM sticks makes that even harder. You'll need to use an AI Overclock Tuner to push for XMP settings.

You might have some power available, but adding voltage could cause problems. Also, having four memory sticks makes things harder to fix. Try using an AI Overclock Tuner to set up XMP settings instead.

so like, should I raise my megahertz and voltages? thanks for getting back to me!

You probably won't win big by just speeding things up, but by making them go slower, you'll get much better results. A chip running at 2400MHz is usually capped around 2666 or 2800 MHz anyway without getting too hot or burning out the voltage. When it comes to your actual numbers (latencies/timings), you are likely going to see a real benefit from cutting those down instead of raising them further. For memory sticks, I'd aim for something with CL16 at best, but if possible, push it down to CL15 or lower using tighter settings.
