Hey, I'm totally new to all of this. Don't think I realized what I was doing. I was looking around the BIOS and noticed my RAM speed was lower than what it showed me. So I tried changing the ram speed hoping that would fix things. After I exited and saved the settings, my computer wouldn't turn on at all. The fans were spinning though, so there was power coming in. But neither the screen nor the mouse or keyboard had any light up. Then came 3 long beeps. Now I'm pretty sure it's a memory problem but I haven't found a fix yet. Can't even access the BIOS, so what can I do? Just buy new RAM? Or is that not going to help? Is this just a ram issue or does it have to be my motherboard? Thanks for reading!

Unplug the charger, take out the battery, and wait just one minute to clear your memory settings.

Do you need all my technical details right now? Do you think resetting the CMOS button is a simple task that I can explain clearly? Someone more knowledgeable about this machine will come over soon and tell you exactly how to do it properly just in case you are not sure what steps to take.
