I own a website on GoDaddy that comes with its own e-mail address. On my computer, I use an older program called Qualcomm Eudora to send and get my messages from GoDaddy. But lately, things are breaking down sometimes when I try to connect to the site. It's been about 20 years since I started doing this. Now, I can't find a better place to put my domain or e-mail accounts because they keep disappearing whenever I pull them off the server. Do you know of another place where I could still use my old PC and Qualcomm Eudora for these things?

I just put Thunderbird on my computer and it took a very short time to finish setting everything up. When I tried to bring in all my old email boxes, there was one problem: I could only select the subject, date, or address. I couldn't get the actual message content into the app.

If you use a regular IMAP or POP email app, it will all work fine for you.

At twenty years old, Eudora might not know how to use IMAP or POP3 over TLS. You could also mix up the go daddy role—it is just your domain host—but does it also act as your email host? Try sending yourself a few test emails and set up a modern program like Windows Mail or Mozilla Thunderbird to check where exactly the issue lies.

I use GoDaddy for my website and emails. My mail software can send and receive messages, yet the program doesn't show a secure connection (TLS).

Eudora isn't getting any new updates these days, so it can't handle the latest security rules. You should switch to a newer app version. It's probably why you're having trouble right now.

This will help you start. My own favorite thing is Thunderbird.

Why is my email working most days on GoDaddy? (The support team has gotten worse lately).
