Good Morning, my goal is to burn my MKV videos onto a Bluray disc with the exact same format (MKV) and lossless quality so I can just store them without using any player. I didn't ask permission to do this before. I tried burning an MKV file using DVDfab (version 12.0.6.9) but it turned my files into M2TS ones without saying anything, and the result was worse quality and the subtitles disappeared. Later, I used PowerIso and that worked perfectly: a copy lossless 1:1 match where everything worked well. My question is, isn't this normal because DVDfab doesn't have this feature to copy MKV files exactly onto a Bluray disc? Has anyone else had this happen? Thanks for all the help and good weekend.

to put videos on a disc you can use most dvds apps, no need for just a movie maker. also, it is normal for dvds guys to change videos so they play in real discs.

To copy your videos onto a DVD or Blu-ray, you don't need any special software. You could use almost any DVD burning program that is available. It doesn't even have to be a special "video maker" tool. In fact, it is completely normal for DVD and BD makers to turn video files into something that works on those players.

Thanks to Kerberos_20 for the details, so I feel less stressed because this is just a regular thing. Have a great weekend.
