Does the USB 3.0 port at the back of my WD My Cloud 2TB let me copy files from folders on the cloud onto a USB stick, or does it just help me send data INTO the cloud?

It is confusing because it only shows a place to put photos and stuff. But why do you need this if you cannot back up your NAS? I would think someone would want that port first thing. Also, there are different My Cloud models. I am not sure what manual I downloaded correctly.

OK. I think I figured out why it works better if a guy from another site tells me how to do this. The person who bought that NAS machine says their USB stick can only go in one way. Maybe this thread is gone now. Thanks everyone.
