I just changed my old Dell laptop battery because the old one was swollen, but the new one won't work at all. The light from the power button is dead and the main battery light looks plain white. Should I wait longer to charge this brand new battery or do something else? I tried charging it for a while before, and it still won't turn on. Also, when I plug the charger in, the battery heats up instead of cooling down.
